REDWOOD CITY, CA, MARCH 10, 2003. Taurus Software announced today an agreement with Pathway Pacific Pty. Ltd. to provide the data movement tools for Pathway Pacific’s Asia Pacific migration requirements.

Pathway Pacific, headquartered in Sydney, Australia, built its reputation on providing Asia Pacific clients with a unique blend of global experience, specialized regional knowledge, critical technology and comprehensive resources. Important to their success is the application of tried and tested HP e3000 migration techniques – from enterprise analysis and step-by-step plans of action through project management, technical training, tool selection and trouble shooting for the client’s critical transitions.

To facilitate pain-free extraction-transform-load (ETL) functions between UNIX, Microsoft NT, Win 2000 and HP Netservers, Pathway Pacific chose BridgeWare. This product, a co-development of Taurus Software and Quest Software, provides the unique combination of ease-of-use, flexibility, reliability, speed and real-time database synchronization their clients needed.

According to Scott Becker, a Pathway Pacific principal, “Representing Taurus will help us offer a total migration solution for our HP e3000 customers in the region. We now have a solution that not only will migrate their data off the e3000, but also will be very useful post migration for ongoing data manipulation.

Taurus began supporting the HP3000 with software for leveraging HP3000 data to Open Systems in 1987. Their newest ETL product, BridgeWare added a user-friendly GUI interface and real-time database synchronization to make it the most comprehensive tool available. BridgeWare has now become the preferred tool for moving HP3000 data to other analysis and production RDBMSs.
